The Nebraska Chapter AAP has been awarded a grant from AAP and AT&T to provide resources and education related to healthy social media habits.
The grant funds will be utilized to host three upcoming education sessions and make available a variety of digital resources aimed to help families understand the impact of social media and take steps towards healthy digital habits.
FREE VIRTUAL SESSIONS FOR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS:
Two virtual sessions will be held for parents and caregivers of the children for whom you care. These sessions will discuss the positive and negative impact social media can have on children and present online tools to help:
- Determine if child is ready for a phone
- Evaluate the example they are setting for the children in their family
- Create a family digital media plan
No cost and no registration is required – families simply use the QR code or link on the flyer to access to online education session.

- Flyers for both parent and caregiver sessions to share with your patient families and clinic staff
Online Resources:
- A variety of online information will be made available at each of the education sessions including information sheets, educational videos and an interactive online resource to build your own customized family digital plan.
THURSDAY, NOV. 7: VIRTUAL SESSION (In English)
A virtual session will be held from 6-7 PM CDT and is open to the parents and caregivers of the children in your practice.
